What is Adobe Firefly?

What it is

Adobe Firefly is Adobe's generative AI app for the web and mobile. It creates images, vectors, video, speech, sound effects and music. It runs Adobe's own Firefly models, which are trained on licensed and public-domain content, and it now also lets you pick partner models from Google, OpenAI, Black Forest Labs, Runway, Luma, Kling, ElevenLabs and Topaz. The generative credits are shared with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and Adobe Express.

Pricing and rights

The free plan gives a limited number of free daily generations across image, video and audio, including some partner models. Paid plans as of September 2026: Standard $9.99 a month (2,000 credits), Pro $19.99 (4,000), Pro Plus $49.99 (10,000) and Premium $199.99 (50,000 credits plus unlimited Firefly Video Model use). All paid plans include unlimited standard image and vector generation. Video, audio and partner-model outputs use credits, and credits do not roll over. Adobe says Firefly-model outputs are safe for commercial use. For partner-model outputs, you are responsible for judging whether they suit your project. IP indemnification applies only to eligible enterprise customers and select Firefly outputs.
