Leonardo.Ai is an AI image and video platform owned by Canva. It mixes its own Lucid Origin image model with third-party image, video, 3D and audio models. It has a web app, mobile apps, team plans and a production API.

Pricing and rights

As of September 2026, the free plan gives 150 fast tokens a day, and Leonardo states that commercial use is included. Essential costs $12 a month ($10 billed yearly), Premium $30 ($24 yearly, adding unlimited relaxed images on select models such as Lucid Origin), and Ultimate $60 ($48 yearly, adding unlimited relaxed image and video on select models such as Hailuo 2.3). Teams start at $72 for three seats with a shared token pool. The API is moving from subscriptions to pay-as-you-go credit with no expiry. Third-party models consume tokens at different rates, so the number of generations varies a lot by model.

Verdict

Leonardo is a flexible multi-model studio with a usable free tier and fair mid-tier pricing, and Canva's ownership gives it stability. Token costs vary by model and are hard to predict. Some powerful models also need the higher tiers for unlimited use.
