What it is

Make (formerly Integromat, owned by Celonis) is a cloud automation platform where you build "scenarios" as flowcharts of modules: watch a Google Sheet, generate copy with an AI module, create an image, post to a CMS or social channel. For content teams it is a way to chain AI tools with publishing and approval steps without writing code. It is closed source and cloud only.

Models inside

Make runs no model of its own. AI modules call providers you connect, such as OpenAI (GPT, GPT Image), Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini, and many specialised AI apps (voice, image, video) through their Make apps. You pay those providers separately with your own keys, while each module run consumes Make credits.

Pricing and rights

Make has a free plan with 1,000 credits a month, two active scenarios, a 15-minute minimum interval and 7-day logs. Paid plans billed monthly: Core $9, Pro $16 and Teams $29 per month for 10,000 credits, with more credits at higher tiers; Enterprise is custom. Annual billing saves 15% or more and credits then last 12 months. Make creates no media itself, so there is no watermark; rights to generated content follow the AI provider you call.

Who it is for

Marketers, solo creators and small teams who want visual automation with more branching power than Zapier at a lower entry price, without self-hosting.

Verdict

Make is a capable, affordable middle ground between Zapier's simplicity and n8n's depth. Credits can drain quickly on high-volume or polling scenarios, and complex scenarios become hard to debug.
