What it is

Luma is the creative app from Luma AI, the company behind the Ray video models. It started as Dream Machine, and the product and pricing pages now just call it "Luma". It generates video, images and audio, and it offers third-party models next to Luma's own Ray3.2, Ray3.14 and Uni-1.

Pricing and rights

As of September 2026 there is no free tier on the pricing page. Plus is $30/month ($25/month billed yearly) with 10,000 credits and commercial use. Pro is $90/month ($75 yearly) with 40,000 credits and 4x agent usage. Ultra is $300/month ($250 yearly) with 150,000 credits. Team and Enterprise are quoted on request. Costs vary a lot by model: a 5-second 1080p Ray3.2 clip is 400 credits, and Veo 3.1 with audio costs 280 credits per second. Commercial use is listed on every paid plan. The pricing page does not mention watermarks.

Who it is for

Creators and brand teams who like Ray's cinematic look and HDR output but also want Veo, Kling and Seedance without a second subscription.

Verdict

Luma has turned into a multi-model studio with strong HDR and reframing tools, and every paid plan includes commercial use. The lack of a free tier and the $30 entry price make it harder to try than rivals. Third-party models like Veo also use up credits quickly.
