Eleven Music v2.5 🧠 Model Freemium

What it is

Eleven Music is ElevenLabs' music generation model. Music v2 launched in May 2026, a month after the ElevenMusic consumer app. Music v2.5 (model ID music_v2_5) reached the API on 14 September 2026 with better audio quality and prompt adherence. ElevenLabs announced a partnership with Universal Music Group on 10 September 2026.

Where you can use it

The ElevenLabs platform: ElevenMusic (consumer), ElevenCreative (music for ads and branded content) and the ElevenLabs API for paid subscribers. We found no third-party creator app in our directory that documents Eleven Music.

Pricing and rights

Music is part of ElevenLabs' credit plans. Starter, the cheapest paid plan with a commercial licence, costs $6 a month, and the free plan has no commercial licence. ElevenLabs' marketing page says self-serve plans allow commercial use except in film, TV and studio games, while the API docs call it cleared for nearly all commercial uses. Who it is for

Video creators, advertisers and podcasters who already use ElevenLabs for voice and want licensed music from the same account.

Verdict

Eleven Music is a clean-rights option inside a platform many creators already pay for, and v2.5 is a real step up. Song quality and editing depth still trail Suno, and the commercial carve-outs differ between plans, so check before broadcast use.
