What it is

HeyGen MCP is HeyGen's official remote Model Context Protocol server at mcp.heygen.com/mcp/v1/. It lets an AI agent create AI-avatar videos, translate videos and work with templates using the avatars, voices and brand kits in your HeyGen account. There is no local repository; it runs on HeyGen's infrastructure.

How to install

Add HeyGen as a custom connector in your client's MCP settings, paste https://mcp.heygen.com/mcp/v1/ and sign in with OAuth. HeyGen lists Claude (web, desktop and Code), Cursor, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI and other MCP clients. Custom agents need their domain allow-listed through HeyGen's integration form.

Pricing and rights

The MCP server is available on all HeyGen plans and spends the premium credits already in your plan, with no separate API bill. As of September 2026 the free plan allows 3 videos a month up to 1 minute with a watermark; Creator costs $29 per month with 600 credits, 1080p, voice cloning and no watermark. Paid plans allow commercial use.

Verdict
