Mubert is an AI music platform that generates royalty-free instrumental tracks from a text prompt, image or chosen genre, mood and duration. The Mubert Render web app is for creators. Mubert also sells generative music for apps, games and services.

Pricing and rights

As of September 2026, prices are billed yearly. Ambassador (free) gives 25 tracks and 5 downloads a month, fixed duration, MP3 only, non-commercial, attribution required. Creator costs $11.69/month (500 tracks, unlimited downloads) and is still aimed at non-commercial use. Pro, $32.49/month, adds commercial use and monetisation for freelance and agency work. Business, $149.29/month, allows use in apps, games and services. The terms say tracks can't be sold, distributed commercially or published on streaming services such as Spotify or YouTube Music. If you cancel, you can't use previously generated tracks in new projects, and payments aren't refundable.

Verdict

Mubert is useful for long, loopable background music, with licence certificates for dealing with claims. Commercial use starts only at the $32 Pro tier, streaming distribution is banned, and the licence doesn't cover new projects after you cancel, so it's a rental rather than something you own.
