What it is

Remotion is a framework for making videos with React code, rendered to MP4 locally or on AWS Lambda. The Remotion team maintains this set of Agent Skills so coding agents can create Remotion projects, write animation markup, add captions, build map animations, open the Studio preview and trigger renders. It turns Claude Code, Codex or Cursor into a programmatic motion-graphics editor for explainers, product promos, data videos and social clips.

How to install

Run npx skills add remotion-dev/skills. New projects created with bun create video also offer to add the skills. You need Node or Bun and a Remotion project; rendering uses your machine or Remotion Lambda.

Pricing and rights

The skills are free. Remotion itself uses the Remotion License: free for individuals and companies of up to three people, while larger companies need a paid company licence. No licence file is published in the skills repo itself. Videos you render carry no watermark.

Verdict

The best way to let a coding agent produce real motion graphics, backed by the framework's own team. Output quality depends on the agent's React skills, and larger companies must budget for a Remotion licence.
