What it is

The Canva MCP server, marketed as Canva's AI Connector, is Canva's official hosted server at mcp.canva.com/mcp. It lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants search your Canva content, generate editable designs, edit them, autofill templates, resize and export, all inside your own Canva account.

How to install

In Claude and ChatGPT, add Canva from the connector directory and sign in. For Claude Code and other stdio clients, Canva's docs give a config that runs npx -y mcp-remote@latest https://mcp.canva.com/mcp, which opens an OAuth sign-in on first use. Developer apps can get credentials through the Developer Portal (self-service still rolling out).

Pricing and rights

The connector is free. Canva's docs say design generation, editing, search, exports, comments and uploads work on all plans; resizing, autofill, brand kits and brand templates need a paid plan (Canva Pro or higher; some sources say brand template autofill is Enterprise-only). Canva Pro pricing could not be fetched for this listing. Content rights follow Canva's licence terms for your plan.
