Pricing and rights

As of September 2026: Free ($0) covers grammar and spelling checks, tone visibility and 100 AI prompts a month. Pro costs $30 per member per month on monthly billing or $12 per member per month on annual billing, with 2,000 AI prompts, rewrites, plagiarism and AI-text detection, for 1-149 members, and a 7-day free trial. Enterprise is custom with unlimited prompts, BYOK encryption and data loss prevention. The old Premium plan is being folded into Pro at existing prices. The plans page does not address output ownership; you remain responsible for what you publish.

Who it is for

Anyone who writes in English every day (professionals, students, marketers) and wants a polish layer across all their apps rather than a separate AI writer. Teams of 2 to 149 people can share a Pro plan, which makes it an easy standard for consistent grammar and tone across a company.

Verdict

Grammarly is still the most convenient editing layer across apps, and the free tier is useful on its own. Pro is expensive on monthly billing, the AI generation is less capable than a full assistant, and the bundled humanizer may raise questions with some clients.
