What it is
D-ID is an Israeli AI company known for animating still photos into talking heads. Its Studio now makes photo and video avatars, video translations and interactive "agents" (conversational avatars), and it shares one minute budget with a developer API. It is aimed at marketing, sales, training and customer-facing uses.

Pricing and rights
As of September 2026: the Trial is free for 14 days and includes 3 minutes, a full-screen watermark and a personal-use licence. Lite is $5.90/month ($4.70 yearly) for 10 minutes a month, still with the D-ID watermark. Pro is $29/month ($16 yearly) for 15 minutes, 3 personal avatars, 1 voice clone, a smaller AI watermark and the commercial licence. Advanced is $196/month ($108 yearly) for 100 minutes, 5 personal avatars and 3 voice clones. All plans give unlimited videos in the first month, subject to fair use. Enterprise is custom. We could not load D-ID's terms page to confirm its consent rules for personal avatars.
Who it is for
Marketers and developers who want cheap, fast talking-head clips or conversational avatars they can embed through the API.
Verdict
D-ID is cheap to start and developer-friendly. Watermarks stay until Pro, and even Pro adds an "AI watermark". Commercial use starts at $29/month, and avatar realism trails HeyGen and Synthesia.
