What it is

prompts.chat, started by Fatih Kadir Akın as Awesome ChatGPT Prompts, is one of the most-starred repositories on GitHub. It collects community "act as" role prompts and task prompts for writing, marketing, education, coding and more, and has grown into a web app at prompts.chat, a CLI, a Claude Code plugin and a self-hostable prompt library you can run for your own team. The repository was renamed from f/awesome-chatgpt-prompts to f/prompts.chat.

How to install

Nothing is required to use the prompts; copy them from the site. To browse in a terminal run npx prompts.chat; to start your own library run npx prompts.chat new my-prompt-library; in Claude Code use /plugin marketplace add f/prompts.chat and /plugin install [email protected].

Free. The prompts and data are dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0, and the site's source code is MIT, so you can use prompts commercially without attribution.
